In this video the concept of Newton's second law is clearly stated, tested, and proven. The video states that the strength of a force is equal to the amount of mass involved multiplied by any acceleration applied to it. That isnt the definition the book gave us but it is another interpretation that means the same thing as Newton's actual second law stated. In the video, the scientist shot two balls out of a double barrel cannon. Each barrel delivered the same amount of force. The yellow ball was light and the red ball was heavy. According to Newton's second law the heavier object will have the slower acceleration, while the lighter object will have the fast. This showed to be true in this video as the yellow ball was faster than the red.
I like your video and I think that you picked a good informative one. It's funny because I have the same video as you. Great minds think alike right? Anyways, this video does a very good job about clearly explaining Newton's second law. I thought it was very easy to understand and the visual example helped tremendously. Good job!
I really liked this video, as it made Newton's Second Law of Motion very clear and concise. The video did a good job of demonstrating this Law so that you understand how it works. The only thing I wish you had added was an explanation of how this video related back to what you learned at school and in your textbook. Other than that, your entire blog is very well-written and easy to understand. I like how you wrote about issues that we are all facing in our own physics classes. Keep up the good work!
I love this video you found on inertia. It made an abstract concept very tangible by doing the demonstration. I clearly understood, based on the video and your response to it, that the lighter the object, the faster and farther it will go when given the same amount of force as with a heavier object. I wish you commented more on the last comment made in the video about cars. How lighter cars use less gas because it does not need as much force to go the same speed and distance as a heavier car like a truck. Great job though.
