Tides Video Blog

This video talks about how earth has a gravitational pull. It also says that the moon has a gravitational pull that pulls things such as the earth's water towards it. This causes tides. There are two types of tides. High tides and low tides. During high tides the water level rises and during low tides the water level drops. When the moon pulls the water, use picture as example, the top and bottom of the earth flatten out to compensate for the pull of the moon. The video also says the every six hours there is a tidal change.

  1. 1. I loved the pictures and diagrams that your video used. The diagrams and arrows made the very difficult concepts easy to understand. My personal favorite diagram was when the multiple arrows would point in the direction of the moon, emphasizing the gravitational pull.
    2. My video was also an instructional video about tides. It emphasized the gravitational aspect of the tides, and why and when the tides are at their lowest and highest points.
    3. Your video had more diagrams than mine. Yours also had a few quiz questions to help test ones knowledge on tides. Another big difference was the animation of the rocks and trees. But, they both cover the same subject.
    4. One thing that i think you can improve on is your summary at the end. Though it covered the basics, I feel like the video provided you with a lot of information that you could use for tests and quizzes. But overall it was two big thumbs up
