Magnets Resource Blog

This video is a great source. It starts by talking about how magnets are found in natural minerals. It then goes on to explain domains. Un-magnetized metal have domains that are randomly orientated. Magnetized objects have the domains all aligned. This translates to a north and South Pole of the magnet. He also gives insight on something I didn’t know. He explains that heating the domains of a paperclip will destroy them. He also shows an example that we used in class with the compass moving around the magnets.
